ReplyDeleteYe gawds, we didn't even have indoor plumbing until I was in highschool.
And life was nasty, brutish and short?
ReplyDeleteThere are adverse effects to being forced to work through hot weather, and Harry Lee, the philosopher king of Singapore, always contended that his island nation's economic growth would not have been possible without AC.
But how that plays out in the current world where AC has ripple effects because it takes energy and energy production is so costly in enironmental and other terms.
