Saturday Photo: None this week, but maybe next week
All right, we're moved into an apartment for 2-3 months, and life continues. Only it will be a few days before the computers are back from the cleaners. Oh, life is complicated
If you are in the same neighbourhood, one of the most pleasant places with free computer access is the Outremont Library on Saint-Just (Bibliothèque Robert-Bourassa). They have plenty of computers, so it is rare to be bumped off. Unfortunately Mile End Library is woefully underequipped.
I just cry when I hear the firetrucks going by, especially when there are many of them (as in your case) and obviously a major blaze.
The city was going to shut down our local fire station, on St-Dominique just parallel to Jean-Talon Market. Firefighter and citizen pressure managed to keep la Caserne de la Petite-Italie opened - these old buildings can burn down very quickly, as the frames are all wooden beams.

Didn't your station on Saint-Just lose an engine?
