Road Diets? Cutting Down on Traffic Speed by Reducing Lane Width
Parking on our street is a topic of hot discussion at the moment. I won't go into the details--too boring for those of you who don't live here--but suffice to say that Outremont wants to start charging for pemits for visitor parking. This has caused the idea of parking on both sides of the street to resurface.
One of our friends has suggested the street needs to go on a "road diet" in order to slow traffic down. It's something I've got to learn more about it, but in the meantime I couldn't resist this cartoon from Cartoonstock.com.
