The film is terrific: if you haven't seen it, rent it soon. It also changed Elin's life, as before she saw it she'd been a violinist who was only slightly acquainted with the viola da gamba. But afterwards she decided to make a career change, and the rest is history, so to speak.
The photo is the head of the gamba she had made by her friend Gesina Liedmeir.
And here's a clip form the movie.

Have you seen "Tous les soleils", a pleasant little film filled with baroque music and song as well as traditional tarantellas, about a young Italian widower who is a music prof at Université de Strasbourg?
Not as transformational as Tous les matins du monde by any means, but will leave you with lovely images and sound track. I think it is still playing at le Cinéma Beaubien.
Sounds like a lovely film. thanks for the reference.
