Saturday Photo:Walla Walla Winter Sunset for a Summer Day
Snowy scenes aren't very appropriate this time of year, I guess, but we've have visitors from Walla Walla,WA, and this is the one lovely picture that I have of the region where I was born.
This is from a Christmas card done a few years ago by Penny Chawell. Rather nice, I think.
Now, if you'll excuse me, Lee and I will go show our visitors around Montreal.

Washington is like that.
Currently we have the national heat wave.
But a friend tells of experiencing a snowfall on Tacoma's Fourth of July parade in the late forties.
We laugh at those seed packet instructions that tell us to wait for all danger of frost to pass.
And I have plucked just bloomed roses from the bush for the Winter Solstice table.
Washington is like that.
