Saturday Photo: Flowers and Music Make a Perfect Match
Not far from St. Lawrence Boulevard, the street along which immigrants settled for half a century, I came across this flowering piano. It sits next to Montréal Piano, where Louis Lovsin and his family have been tuning and restoring pianos since 1969. (See its website for great archival photos and more of its history.)
The Lovsins also obviously have a good sense of humour, as this original flower arrangement attests. The sapling growing underneath the keyboard also shows just how determined to grow plants are. (See yesterday's post for more on the force through which the green fuse drives the flower.)
